The Forest Grove Community Garden invites you to garden with us!

Spring Planting Festival and Start Swap

Where: Maple Street Garden, North end of Maple Street off 22nd street

When: Saturday April 16th 11 AM

Rent your own sunny garden space- $30/year for approximately 250 Sq. Ft., irrigated plot Garden tools, water, and organic fertilizers provided.

There will also be a drawing for a free plot!!

FOREST GROVE COMMUNITY GARDENS VICTORY GARDEN

In cooperation with Adelante Mujeres, the Forest Grove Community Gardens provides an open, fertile space where people can rent 250 sq. ft. garden plots at its Victory Garden location to grow food, enjoy the outdoors, and commune with friends and neighbors to encourage a cooperative community spirit while lowering their grocery bills!

The City of Forest Grove donated use of the Victory Garden’s sunny, fertile, 1+ acre site which had been farmed by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department until 2008.

Volunteers with Forest Grove Community Gardens built a modern irrigation system, erected a fence around the site, and installed raised beds to provide easy access for handicapped gardeners. This year, volunteers are planning to lay pathways to facilitate better access to the raised bed areas.

The 2011 season of the Victory Garden is close at hand … and a few garden plots are still available and ready to be worked! So come on down and join the fun!
